If you’re still looking for a Valentine’s gift for the one you love, “We Go Together! A curious Selection of Affectionate Verse,” by Calef Brown is an excellent choice.
Calef’s illustrations are stylized and whimsical. He uses great colors and his images are never static. The accompanying verse, well, it just makes you smile.

Though it’s a picture book, geared for children ages 4 and up, the sentiments expressed throughout are ageless. Its small dimensions — a little bigger than a CD case — make it easy to mail. And it’s a perfect pairing with flowers or chocolates, though it stands well all on its own.
