March 3 was World Book Day, and in conjunction, the United Kingdom’s Guardian has launched a new children’s book site. It’s been designed for and by children, and it’s beautiful! It’s great to see a newspaper focus on young readers in such a big way. Kudos to them!
There’s sections for children 7 and under, readers ages 8-12, teen books and FAQ. There are book reviews, author interviews and a personalized contributor’s page.
Here’s a video from its site featuring some of the young readers who have helped with its design. They explain why they love reading and what the site offers.
